What is a 'normal' sexual response for women?

Posted by PhoenixGirl on July 22, 2007, at 13:23:32

What I mean is, how long should it take for me to have an orgasm? Is it normal that my vagina isn't very sensitive, and that it takes tons of direct oral stimulation of my clitoris for me to orgasm? I'm so uptight during sex, and I tend to have sex with men I have no emotional connection with. Could this be the real root of my sexual difficulties?
I'm trying to figure out how much my meds and depression are affecting my sex life.

*** BINGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (in my opinion)

If there's emotional connection, there's LOTS of pleasure happening even before the clothes come off & the touching begins!! And that makes our body be way more responsive when things DO start happening.

According to the Kinsey Institute:

"Though many women do eventually learn to have an orgasm within 5 to
20 minutes of stimulation (particularly if they are using a vibrator
or having intercourse with a long term partner), it is common for
women to take 20-60 minutes to experience orgasm when they are new to it. "

I believe it re: 20-60min. Once in a while it will be like 'wow I didn't know I was that hor*ny and happen quickly', but sometimes it does take a while. Men need understand this.

I need to get the right mind set, visualizing my body as if I were sitting watching myself, and it helps me when I'm 'attracted to myself', i.e., nice smooth clean smelling hair draping down over my warm soft shoulders, body all clean and smooth and sensual. It's like loving yourself. I told a guy I want a t-shirt that says 'I turn myself on'.

So, whether w/ or w/o a man or partner there, if you hang in, I guess even 30m (Wow an hour seems quite long tho', doesn't it?), the end is so worth the wait. After orgasm I feel like I can't think and that's nice too, as I think way to much!

I have more success w/ outer stimulation than inner unless the man is quite talented. Any1 else?

p.s. I haven't had my COFFEE this morning 'cuz I'm having fasting lab this a.m. and I feel like I'm still in sleep mode. I don't become a functional human being until at least one cup of coffee. I'm Jonesin' for some coffee really bad! Think I'm gonna' cheat! I can't open the door or walk down my steps or drive my car or have a conversation w/o a prerequisite of coffee.

I'm just now seeing all of yesterday's emails.

Dang Outlook!

Jeez, almost sounded like I was trying to seduce someone there didn't it? I might have gotten a little carried away ... hmmm ... :)

Sun will be setting pretty soon this day.

Sorry missed these emails.
