Oh great are your serious as can't get any more layers on to ride my bike which is the only think that keeps me halfway sane. Not saying much. You'd think a born, raised person from CT and there til age 48 wouldn't mind. I hate it. Love Phillipa

Awwkkk...I know this wacky weather isn't fun for most. But...I remember back in the 70's as a kid though from Dec-March would be "Deep Freeze". We'd have at least 10-15 or so "snow" days off school, and my Dad would always have a skating rink all ready in the backyard. There was rarely (if!!) such a thing as a "green" Christmas. Now-a-days, people BBQ and have parties on their patios this time of year! I saw a kid with low-cut shorts on yesterday! Makes me yearn for the days of my snow-suit, the big snow-fort we'd make where the ditch is out front, and playing hockey on the 4 inch ice covered streets. Oh..and which brings me to my other point....yes Phillipa...I remember going in to watch Sonny and Cher on Saturday night with the snacks and goodies as a wee boy. :-)

... we've have a warm winter so far. I don't think its gotten down to freezing yet - if it has its only been a couple of times and at night. But Friday is supposed to be high 36° and low 30° with freezing rain! There's just nothing good about that. I lived up north as a kid and remember how pretty the snow and icicles were. Here everything just turns brown. I'd much rather it get cold and snow and just stay like that. Here its one way one day and another way the next and you always seem to be dressed the wrong way. Plus, people drive like freaking lunatics! Here you are trying to take it slow and be safe, and they're all up on your tail. Don't they know if you have to stop suddenly they'll crash into you? Its like they're trying to prove how big and bad they are. It drives me crazy!
