ugh my mom doenst want me to get on psychobabble

Posted by your#1fan on March 14, 2008, at 20:52:00

Just the way she said to stimulants "no" when, it is vital for my help.

She is just not getting things so i can be crippled and be with her. I need to really get a good paying job, and get out.

Frustrated.

get a low paying job and a roommate and get the heck out of there
nothing like total responsibility for your own life to make you feel better
IMO, of course

I know its easier said than done, but I agree with obsidian. You would be so much better off on your own. Its hard though, I understand.

If you move out you might then qualify for financial assistance at school. You might try talking to the financial aid department about it. I was on the work study program which helped pay for rent and school and everything else. It didn't pay WELL, but you could survive. My family never had any money though so I qualified easily enough. You may have to actually move out first, which is why I suggested talking to financial aid to see what's what.

If nothing else, look for a short term program at school (or a technical college) that would help you get a better paying job. It doesn't have to be your life's work, just something to get you through school to do what you really want. Maybe dental technician? I've heard it pays pretty well and is a fairly quick program. There's other things too.

I stayed in a bad family situation far longer than I should have. What I'm telling you is what I wished I had done from the start. Hope it helps!

Sorry to barge in to your thread Fan, but I've talked to Deneb about this exact same thing and never thought of suggesting Dental Technician. Deneb have you could totally pull that off and then support yourself while going to school! Just a thought.

I'm not sure I understand, are you saying they were right about not posting to this site (in your post to this site)?
