There are many English spellings of this Farsi word, but it is Persian New Year today. At just before 2 a.m. (Eastern Daylight Savings Time), the sun crossed the equator, making this both the first day of spring (vernal equinox), and the first day of a new year.

Ah thanks rsk appreciate it. I did get a new binder for surgical site and manage to ride a mile on my bike so some progress so this was very good. Thanks for the wishes. Love Phillipa
