Of course my favorite lipstick has been discontinued. It was Estee Lauder. The actual color was "Drama." Here is what I am looking for:
1. MUST have no taste or smell
2. must stay on reasonably well but not dye my lips some strange color
3. not too sparkly--shimmer is fine
4. nice medium tone in a brown pink with yellow undertones. The purple, red, bright pink tones make my zits look worse!

Do be careful as I got some lip balm from a well known manufactures for half price and it turned green and now lips are peeling. I took it to the brand store they said that it may have been an expirired item so ask for expiration date. Glad you found what you wanted. Phillipa

It is a discontinued item so I am sure it is not "new" new.

I like MAC these days, and especially like their lipsticks. Here are two links:
http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/products/sp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY15113&PRODUCT_ID=PROD11611
Depending on the exact shade you're looking for, Bare, Missy, or Funshine might meet your needs.http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/products/sp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY15113&PRODUCT_ID=PROD1439
This has too many colors to try to find one that meets your description. Suffice to say: the lipstick seems to go on well, last well, and look good -- without staining lips; and they've got such a range of colors, you're sure to find something that suits.Hope that helps. Again -- just a review/recommendation of the brand/formulas, and hope it helps. Recently, I've been wearing the first formula, in either Lovey-Dove or Grenadine. And wondering if I should buy another color, too -- it's really great stuff.

Racer,
I knew I could count on you! I'll have to check MAC out. By the way, got a new cake eyeliner in a midnightblue color of course! Actually it is bleu marine!
