It's been an adjustment. This morning I picked up the phone to order my breakfast and bucket of ice, but no one would bring it. And can you believe that no one has come to bring fresh towels after my shower? Just kidding. I haven't actually showered yet. But, I'm pretty sure no one would replace my towels if I did.
I've also spent a good deal of time on the sofa, catching up on Top Chef, The Tudors, Deadliest Catch, and Workout. Research during this time has uncovered the fact that 2 hands and 3 pets is a problem. And I think my parents were correct when they said my dog can't hear much. ((((doggy)))
I'm still in my pjs, but I'm wearing these fabulous earrings a dear friend made for me. I hadn't had the opportunity to wear them yet, but I think they go quite well with my lavendar nightshirt. And I've felt the love of a gift from a friend all day!
Eating hasn't been a priority; probably because I've eaten a lot of really good food over the last couple of weeks. The frozen pizza and ramen noodles just aren't that appealing. I DO have a drink in hand, though. Daily alcohol in D.C. and I just can't seem to give it up!
OK, back to the sofa and trying to satisfy 3 babies with 2 pitiful hands.

my first day at home I spent frantically writing a term paper. then I had an interview for a post-doc program I'm applying to, then I worked more on my paper. I got it done 5 mins before class. I discussed the content of the paper in class and then h and i went out for burritos at Chipotle. Came home, crashing-like and computed in bed. babblechat.
my soul was exhausted. good friends made attempts to buoy, but I think I just needed to sleep. headache today. I begin my gradual taper off of caffeine. I have become a caffiend. it's bad. Bad.
I miss my APA roommates.
