A bad thing about caring

Posted by Deneb on June 30, 2008, at 23:52:17

The bad thing about people caring about you is that they will also worry about you.

I don't tell my parents or sister about anything when I'm down.

That's what Babblers and pdoc were for. I thought they wouldn't worry about me, but now that some Babblers know me, they worry.

Who can I tell about my bad thoughts?

I don't feel like I can write about them freely on Babble anymore. I can't write about them anywhere really.

You can definitely tell your pdoc. She may worry, but she'll also be upset if you *don't* tell her. She wants to help, and you need to let her help.

And you can talk about them on Babble too. It's just that you'll likely receive responses from people who care and who are worried. I understand how you feel, though. I feel that way too, sometimes.

Its diff than just "worry" in a negative sense.
We "worry" cuz we care. It feels good to care about others.
But I come ALONGSIDE you in your struggles. They are not my own. I wish you the best, but I understand that you Deneb are you. So while I worry some, I do not mind that worry. It is a sign of my humanity and that I care, and that is a GOOD thing.
Worrying obsessively is a prob. But like I say, I come alongside you. Share your burden and offer words of hope when I can.
That is healthy worrying/caring.
So worrying is NOT BAD.
Deneb, you can speak here and share what you feel.
Thats what I like about you. That you are honest. That you work hard to be the best you can be. You are an amazing person Deneb, I don't think you give yourself nearly enuf credit.
We are all works in progress, our whole lives. I have enjoyed reading your posts and seeing your growth.
It is an honour to be able to share in your journey.
Thank you for that.
Please continue to post if it helps you.
Sorry I am not around much, but there are many good people here, who i am sure feel the same way as I.

What do you mean 64Bowtie?

Do you mean if I care about you?

I care about Babblers in general.

That's the flaw in love, Deneb. Caring means there is never love without pain. If you sit there and think about it too much, it's causing yourself even more pain, and hence is just not a good thing to do. If we want to care, we want to love, we will be depressed when something bad happens to what we love or care about. But that does certainly not by any means mean we should stop caring or loving. There is no easy answer, I am sorry, we just have to deal with it in our own ways. Or not deal with it...and that has it's consequences too. Sometimes I wish there was a "Handbook 101" that comes along when we are born into this world..lol.

Always with Hope...
Jay

Dear Deneb,

I sure everyone here cares about each other,we worry about each other, and we try to help each other, you care about me just as I care about you and the same goes with everyone, thats why we answer each others posts, if we did`nt then no one world be careing. If someone`s feeling down we do worry and try to be there to help them, we worry because we care, and hope to be of some help.

I hope this makes some sort of sence.

Dave
