How do you know when you can take someone at their word? This is something that's extremely hard for me and I feel so stuck in indecision right now. One of the biggies on my fear list is that I'll be made a fool by believing an untruth. I don't want to be the fool, but I also don't want to let this fear cause me to screw up something good when I'm being told the truth (that'd make me an even bigger fool, right?).
How do you ever really now?
A very discouraged Jammer

For what it's worth, I don't think people who believe an untruth are foolish, or worthy of scorn. The person worthy of scorn is the person offering deception and untruths.

I gotta staight thought about this, its a bit intense: can you handle it? lets go!
People get in the moment, i've seen it, "dont worry everything's going to be fine". Talk is just the jaw moving, thats in joke: its basically a person that promises all the time, are living in lies. Let time take place, if they always get by with it, there alot experts on deciet: they are very quiet, and do things behind doors. You find odd things about them.
See it all the time, and experinced it. Look at a person, and see what they really are, not as their name, their actions. "You can trust me" is the oldest con in the book. And somehow or another......it leakes out. Tabloids, news, everyone is up in people's buisness, dont care, they just want to talk sh*t. That's because they dont care, cold and selfish "give me give me give me" - dont worry, because a greedy person wants everthing right? that includes the bad "fruit" they planted. Own worst enermies.
Always know a trust worthy person, because they will sweep up what trashy people say.

So true, Dinah! I tell my students "you know, I can't tell if you are lying".."If you are, it is on you, not me, so deal with it". End of conversation.

When you've been done in, which has a good side because you can learn from it.
