In the little town I grew up in, everyone knew everyone. Margaret(not real name) and I were the same age and I think shared the same classrooms from 1st grade through our senior year.
She married right out of high school and was still married to the same man.
He and his daughter went home for lunch yesterday and Margaret had hung herself in the back yard.
She had been depressed for months, tried meds which didn't help, and decided to end it.I just happened to read an article later on MSNBC that said middle aged women are starting to bump the suicide numbers up. It's a trend they have been following.
I was going to write more but this has taken it out of me.
Call 911, your old friends never, ever forget you.
Stay strong.

Second that but to me sounding negative meds aren't doing a very good job with depression for some and some work for. I feel menopause may trigger depression for some women it did for me. In that anxiety morphed into something else. Condolences to you Phil. Phillipa

Oops, didn't realize I was saying the same thing as zenhussy, even though I just read it. I guess I thought that put it best.

Thanks everyone. We've been rounding up classmates for the funeral Friday. It's going to be a big funeral and an especially sad one.
