No more credit cards or debit cards for me

Posted by Deneb on January 2, 2009, at 17:26:08

I've spent way too much, on my netbook and the xbox 360. I need to cut out all unnecessary spending. I am leaving my credit cards and debit cards at home for a while and using my Christmas and New Year's money for now. I am going to sign up for the new tax free savings account and adding more days to my work schedule.

I am going to eat food from home and not buying food if possible. If I buy food, I should spend no more than $3 a day. I'll bring no more than $5 a day to work.

No more unnecessary spending. This is a wake up call. I need to save money for the future.

My value checking account went a few dollars below the limit where all fees are waived today. I don't want to touch my savings accounts because there are lots of fees associated with taking money out of that account.

I need to set up a system to save money.

Wake up call today.
