I'm alone in the house. I hope I don't die. :/

It's OK now, the monitor stopped beeping. That was scary!

Is it wired or battery operated may need new battery if that's it. I've had it happen also and yes it's scarey and noisey. Phillipa

I imagine that was scary, especially when you were alone. It's great you have a CO detector since CO can affect you before you are aware of any problem. It's important that you or someone in your family find out why it went off--if it's about needing to change the batteries or check the power, or if there truly is a CO problem in the area.
If it were to go off again, can you think of anything proactive you could do about it instead of "hoping" you don't die?

Oh, it's OK, I think. I called the gas company people to come look. They didn't find anything, so we have no idea where the CO was coming from. I opened a window and stuff. I guess I wasn't going to die. It was just scary.
The monitor plugs into the wall outlet so there are no batteries to change. The reading was 57 or 37 or something, something ending in 7 and less than 100.
I am guessing maybe our neighbours did something to make carbon monoxide. I just don't know. It's gone now.
This is the end of the thread.
