Earlier today I called out the window to the lady next door (who has lived there over a year, but I hadn't yet met & I just introduced myself over the fence last week).
When I was talking with her landlord & mentioned my pottery jewellry, he mentioned that she made jewellry & sold it on EBay.
So I called out to her & asked if she made jewellry, as I would like to have a beads-on-elastic bracelet in oranges & peach to wear instead of my current one in greens that my daughter made me.
She said she made little angels & figurines but not jewellry. That was this morning. We talked briefly & she told me of her site on EBay.
Just now - knock at the door & there she is holding out a lovely bead bracelet in oranges, tans & peach colours!!!!!!! For me!! She'd made it specially! Oh My Gosh!!!!
I was tickled pink & said what a sweetie she is!! I was really touched & made a big fuss (totally sincere) of her making it. And I could see her with a big smile as she walked away.
What a lovely thing to happen!!!!

> And the goodness spreads, cuz it made me feel real good to read it too :-)~ ~ ~ I think it's really good to talk about positive things that happen. And to compliment people on doing a good job. I try to do that on the phone and in stores - ask to speak to the person's supervisor & say that I want to say how I appreciated the service etc. And both the employee AND the supervisor always seem so surprised!!! I guess not very many people tell the positives! It feels wonderful to do it. The other day I was in the phone store with my son & after great service, spoke to the young lady's supervisor, who came right out into the store. The employee ended up having her co-worker clap her hands! And everyone was smiling...it was lovely. On the way out my son put his arm around my waist & hugged me & said how nice it was that I did that, & that he always does it in restaurants & asks the waitress to give his compliments to the chef etc.
Muffled - thx for dropping by Social. Hope it works for you to continue!
love & hugs, Kath
