Snowmaggedon, snOMG, Snowpocalypse, Snowbliteration, Snowtorious BIG, Super Snowl 2010...
Whatever people are calling it, it's a lot of SNOW!
Hi Babblers,
So, I'm snowed in and bored by the mounds of white outside my windows. We have 19 inches so far where I live and it is STILL snowing. I have never seen this much snow in my life, I think.
So I'm hoping the power stays on. It's been on and off all night long. 51,000 people in my area are without power right now. Ouch!
It's amazing how the psyche gets all anxious when options aren't available. I keep thinking "what can I do? I can't go anywhere! What will I eat?!" My cat doesn't seem phased at all. She's sleeping and every so often she will cuddle with me and paw on me. (or maybe she does know what's going on and she tenderizing me in case worse comes to worse :-) )
I have lot, and lots, and lots of books to read. Some people stocked up on tp, I stocked up on candles and reading material.
So if anyone else is online and bored, or snowed in, I feel your pain. Guess I'll take a nap now.

I heard about the snow out there. I hope your power is still on. That was cute about your cat tenderizing you. Really, she's just putting her scent on you to mark her ownership of you. Don't know whether that's better or worse. I hope you have a nice time reading and stuff. It's a good opportunity to slow down and take it easy. Hope you have a lot of snacks. Stay warm and take care!

Except for flood, snow is the best excuse to stay inside and read or whatever.
Do people go snowboarding or skiing?
I wouldn't like the idea of the power going off.
What's the temperature?

My Son is snowed in in DC outside really Maryland line 24 inches and intermittent electricity. He texted us that message. Hope he's okay as is blind can see a bit with a scope. Texted most snow ever seen and we live in CT. Snow 32 degrees or colder. Texture of snow can depend on temp too. When it gets colder it ices then ice on the snow, under the snow or in between. Horrible. Phillipa

I've been reading a little and coloring. Mostly been online and trying to enjoy the heat and electricity while it is on.
It was off again for several hours last night.
Not sure if the people are doing any snow sports. I heard there were some people sledding and even a guy trying to ride his bike through the snow. I saw kids had made quite a substantial snowman. Nearly 4 ft tall.
The temperature is currently 20*F or -7*C. Very cold!
It took me over an hour to shovel my car out of the mounds of snow. Whew! I am exhausted.
I think I'll go enjoy some hot cocoa now.
