I bought plane tickets to New Orleans and I decided to buy some travel medical insurance, but I'm reading the terms and mental and emotional disorders are not covered at all.
What if I go insane on my trip? I'm worried.
It also doesn't cover self harm. What if I go insane and hurt myself? I'm worried.
I don't want to have to worry about going insane on my trip. I thought insurance was supposed to provide peace of mind. It doesn't cover what is most likely to happen.
What will happen if I lose my mind? Am I going to go bankrupt?
Does anyone know what happens if insurance doesn't cover something and it happens?

I would think you'd be covered by your regular insurance, especially since you won't be out of the country. I'd call them up and ask.

I am traveling out of the country. I live in Canada.
We have universal health care here, we don't need insurance. I just bought some health insurance for my 5 days in New Orleans. I don't want to be without coverage at any time.

Oh, I didn't realize you were in Canada. You're so lucky there not to have to worry about insurance at home. (I'm quite worried about losing mine right now in the US.) Maybe you can do some googling and see what other people do. Or call someone there who would know. Is there some sort of organization that handles your healthcare? Maybe call them and ask.

Well, I certainly hope you won't need it.
I feel rather anxious myself at the idea of a fellow Babbler going insane or hurting themselves at our get together. I suppose Dr. Bob is the professional, and it would be his responsibility, not mine.
Perhaps you could concentrate on the fact that all your fears from San Francisco did not come to pass?
I'll try to do the same.

Yeah, I will do that. Probably the chances of me getting into a car accident are much greater than of me going insane. I'm totally inflating the risk in my mind. It is just not likely to happen at all.

I just get anxious about things easily. Sorry to worry you.
