It just dawned on me--after 26 years on this planet--that is really is up to me to build a better life for myself. I've been in mental hospitals and jails; I've been so "crazy" that I didn't leave my house (except to buy cigarettes) for months. Now, I'm better. No criminal record. No involuntary commitments. I am free.
But what now? I'm probably going to have at least part-time employment fairly soon, so that's one step in the right direction. I need to lose weight; maybe a diet/new life style will help give my life direction, too.
What steps do you all take to fill your days with substance and meaning?
