Well after having a third medical professional tell me I needed to get evaluated for meds, I finally decided to get over my resistance and do it. I called my last pdoc, said he could see me but not til end of Sept. He referred me to someone with a new practice, and I got an appt with him in two weeks. Sounded nice on the phone, and he actually bills to insurance. I've never had a pdoc or therapist who did that-- I always had to do it myself.
My mood swings have gotten so ramped up lately it's just nuts. I'm elated and manic in the morning, terrified in the afternoon, and sobbing and suicidal in the evening. Plus states where it's a mix of the above. It felt like there was so much energy in my head it was about to explode.
Now I just have to not change my mind about it if I happen to have a few good days in a row!

That's great! I hope you like this one, but if you don't feel free to move on.
I'm fairly minimalist about medications, but I wouldn't want to be without them either. I try to take as few as possible while remaining on fairly even keel.

I think it's prudent that you see a pdoc with what youre dealing with. When it comes to meds,I always want the lowest dose, and that has always worked for me. Im so glad I found my pdoc, and I will never be without one again. It takes forever around here to get in for a first appt. with one.

Keeps me coming back to see progress; and I do see and hear progress... Its gratifying to me seeing progress among those I care so much about... Take care and keep that even keel in all your affairs... Keep your eye on the prize......
