mac products, getting worse

still better than the alternative (in many cases), but not the clear stand out they once were. and many features are getting worse, i swear.

i used to have an i-pod nano. it had a white scroll wheel and it was flourescent blue. i loved it very much.

when it died i got a new nano that looks like a mini i-phone. it has a touch screen menu which doesn't like to work when my fingers are sweaty. it doesn't have a mechanical lock feature so when it put it in pockets of my gym gear (designed for devices) it keeps thinking i'm telling it to do stuff. stop, most notably.

it will only charge when my computer is awake, so i can't just plug it in and leave it overnight. i can't find anyplace in i-tunes or on the device that tells me when it is charged or when it might be done or how many hours it will still work for. the battery life is nowhere near as long as my last one, i swear. i used to listen to my old one for a couple days before needing to charge it. i need to charge this one after every single gym visit, i swear. I guess the colored touch screen and the radio with godawful reception and all that album artwork eat up the battery life, yeah.

even my new computer... something about the new os junking it up... i don't love it the way i loved my old macbook... maybe partly my fault with putting Microsoft office products on this one :-(

Sill... Battery life... Reliability... New nano is a piece of sh*t. ALl i wanted was something that would work to reliably play music. You know i have one of the oldest i-pod shuffles on a memory stick looking device. 256megabites and STILL WORKING. i swear the battery life on it is about the same as my new nano.

i-phone doesn't have good battery life either - yeah?

what is happening to you, mac???

My dell failed for the third time in three years, so I bought a MacBook Air. I loaded all the MS Office software, which is what I use mostly, but what I can't believe is how long the battery lasts. I only charge it at night. All day long, it stays on battery and I have never had a warning that it needs to be charged. The dell would last two hours at most.
