just went into the bathroom and saw that chunky face that looks liek a chipmunk chewing acorns...looks like a skippy the squirrel or soemthin...but i've been off the diet now a while, i eat when i want to....but when im on a diet program, usally in my mind i don't like it, and i really want to give into temptation to just eat chips, pizza, all that stuff...and i noticed when i go off diets, i eat more than what i did before the diet, its like suppressing a hunger then when it is realased like holding the pressure of a water hose and it blasts when you let it go....
so liquid diets are effective but i've learned long term like 3+ weeks the metabolism goes down...it does it to save energy for the body, and anytime you put one morsel of food in, it goes to fat....so, learning all this, fat intake is importamnt, just not loads of it....the moderation of it is the key...all these stupid books on diets, guhhh its so simple, reduce the intake or reroot foods, calorie intake....another thing is alot of calories are not that bad....if the bodies metabolism is handling it, then its ok....if the calories get below 600-800cals it does the same thing as a liquid diet, it slows down the prcessing because of low food intake, the metabolism adapts to new food intake....
the stimulants are good.....herbal stimualnts are....they can cause anxiety and agitation and irritibility...i don't like them, i would much rather have a dexedrine diet...like i was on 2009 and got down to 190lbs....
but really does anyone here want to discuuss diet terms? people on the net read this site, and maybe it can be recorded on the archives....someone 13 years from now will benefit....lol
but if no one responds....the main thing is metabolism, and the calorie intake, moderate food intake is good, if someone has a bad metabolism, less food is the diet to be on. Running/Weightlifing is another thing....weights burns cals through muscle mass, and some fat burns, but the running/jog increases the body functions and metabolism...so if that can be intregrated into a diet...it will be vary effective.
The low food intake diets....i hate them, ill stay on them for 3-4 weeks then when i fall off....i will eat like a pig, catching up on the food i missed out on....lol thats a perfect example for diets that restrict things of taste pleasure....
I've gotta this weight off....and willing to write anything to help peopl while im trying to do it myself.....
anyone want to start one with me?

i try and follow the following sorts of slogans:
- if it comes in a box - don't eat it.
- if it isn't something your great grandmother would recognise as food - don't eat it (e.g., most food in packets that doesn't approximate food at all).
- stick to the edges of the supermarket (fresh produce - avoid the middle isles of food in boxes).
- if it grows from the ground or has, had, or would have had a face then you can eat it. otherwise don't (this rules out dairy but allows meat, fish, and egg. some people can't tolerate dairy).they aren't perfect, but generally they are pretty good guidelines.
dan john says it is mostly about what *kinds* of foods you eat. most people only get 10 or 12 different kinds of foods from the supermarket. if the list of foods you buy consists of foods like:
- oats (if you can tolerate them)
- different colored non-starch vegetables
- fresh fruit
- different kinds of nuts (peanuts aren't really nuts)
- legumes / beans
- natural dairy (if you can tolerate it - watch for added sugar)
- rice (maybe some pasta or gluten stuff if you can tolerate it)
- meat
- olive oil
- fish (including tinned)
- green tea
- spices (chili, etc)
- eggsthen you can pretty much eat however much you want. if you buy chocolate that is 80% cocoa solids or higher then you can eat pretty much however much you want of that, too (trust me, you won't want much).
if you then have a craving to go out and buy potato chips or whatever and have a binge then he says you can eat whatever you want *after* you have eaten a bowl of apples. i've eaten fairly much a bowl of apples, i'll have you know (i binge on fruit quite a lot, actually) and i honestly didn't feel like sugar anymore once i was done.
he also has ideas around what you *have to* eat in one day. figure it out... 7 servings of vegetables... 2 servings of meat... plus whatever whatever. you aren't allowed to eat any other kinds of food until you have finished what it is you are *supposed* to be eating. i like this idea because it turns things on its head. it is about making sure you eat up your nutritional requirements (eat more of the right kinds of foods!) instead of thinking of it as being about eating less.
make sure you drink up your water requirement, too!
veges are really high in water content. think about how many carrots you would need to eat to get the same calorie intake as from a bag of chips. then go ahead and eat that many carrots. i double dare you.
it is more about *what kinds* of foods you eat...
and basically... avoiding processed foods. most of which you wouldn't eat if you actually appreciated what went into them, anyway.
exercise, too... have you ever enjoyed a sport or something? maybe it is partly about discovering / rediscovering a bit of that as well. something you would love to do? pakour? skateboard? a martial art? dance?
