learn how to be street fighter lol

Posted by rjlockhart37 on July 27, 2013, at 13:20:43

i've been browsing fighting styles....the one i found is something called Aikido, its a less intense fighting style thats more like a defense rather than offencive fighting....jujitsu is really intense and i would my butt whipped....totally....im chuncky and to get in shape to do this is gonna require alot stanima

but you know its finally time to not be afraid of someone who threatnes or actaully attacks me just to beat me up for the heck of it....im sick of it, im gonna learn how to fight...not for any reason to seem like a b*d*ss street fighter...just to learn, and not feel so afraid of people....exept if they have a gun and their mad....no style of fighting would prevent hat....

but seriously i found some classes here in texas, aikido is not a well known fightstyle, its not deadly, its not really the kind where you attack with harsh joint locks, throws,

so....hopefully when time goes on ill be ready learn it, but seriously i am get my butt wipped in class....lol

I knew someone who learned BJJ with someone who was a black belt in Akido. Those Akido guys learn to FLY, no kidding! I think... I think it is 'the gentle way' or something like that. Utilizing deflection. Deflecting the force that your opponent brings to the battle. I'm glad you found something that seems interesting to you :-)

One of the things I like the most about martial arts is the mental aspect of it. Remember the Karate Kid where the kid started out painting the fence and stuff like that? I think most martial arts (if traditionally rather than box-gym taught, anyway) are like that...

You only get beaten up if you *ask* for it. If you set out with something to prove. If you set out with an attitude of humility and willingness to learn... And you aren't a Spazz (some people spazz out / lash out if they feel threatened / afraid in which case... sometimes people do misunderstand that and respond back in kind in the attempt to teach you a lesson)...

Part of it will include conditioning stuff... Better start practicing your push-ups! Honestly... If you stick with it... You really will end up very fit and with a self-confidence of *knowing* you can handle yourself okay in response to all the Spazz's out there...

I expect updates!
