Darkness, darkness be my pillow
Take my hand and let me sleep
In the coolness of your shadow
In the silence of your deepDarkness, darkness hide my yearning
For the things I cannot see
Keep my mind from constant turning
To the things I cannot beDarkness, darkness be my blanket
Cover me with this endless night
Take away, oh, this pain of knowing
Fill this emptiness with light
Emptiness with light nowDarkness, darkness long and lonesome
As the day that brings me here
I have found the edge of sadness
I have the known the depths of fearDarkness, darkness be my blanket
Cover me with the endless night
Take away, oh, this pain of knowing
Fill this emptiness with light now
Emptiness with light now, nowDarkness, darkness be my blanket
Cover me with the endless night
Take away oh, this pain of knowing
Fill this emptiness with light now
Oh, with light nowDarkness, darkness be my pillow
Take my hand and let me sleep
In the coolness of your shadow
In the silence of your deep
In the silence of your deep
In the, oh, oh, hey, yeah, oh, yeahIn the summer baby <<<this verse??
Oh yeah, oh, in the summer baby
In the summer baby
Ooh yeah
Come, on come on, come on, come on baby
Come on, come on, come on baby
Come on, come on, come on baby
In the summer time baby
In the summer time

Robert Plant was a god in his time...until he believed it. Now he cries when Heart does covers of Stairway to Heaven.
(Which they kill, in my estimation.) not bad for rock babes-now grandmothers.

Ann and Nancy with Bonzo's son on drums did kill it but they've always been great. The rest I totally disagree with. If he thought himself a god would he have stretched and sung with Allison Krause. She's awesome but he put himself out there. It was no ego trip. He committed to her when the guys wanted to tour.
I've seen him emotional once. Look at the venue, the tribute and the honor.
He's still got it as he showed at the O2 a couple of years ago where seemingly every major rock star in the world was backstage or wanted to be.
Plants a god with nothing to prove and if he cries I'll give him a kleenex but never think less of him. I cry often.
They are considered to be the greatest at what they do and Plant, as the front man, has to project what the band is about. He was living in Austin for a while..still?...a friend saw him--at a feed store!
I will say this, for 65 he hasn't aged well. Page has his gray hair pulled back in a ponytail and it really suits him. He looks good and I like his personality.Put 'em up girl let's duke it out. lol

I loved the Allison Krause collaboration but thought it was more of a stretch for her to meet his style than the other way around. It just brought into question for me the range of his skills.
I don't know the personal story of the man (as well as I do, say, the Mighty in His Own Mind Pete Townsend). He certainly has been humbled to tears by Annie and Nancy. I think I am jaded by years of exposure to an awesome cover band I followed in my wonderfully ill spent youth.

You like girls but dislike I'm sorry hate, the boys. Plant thinks he's a god, no he's a crybaby. I've been a musician for four decades and I won't listen to that rubbish. This discussion is closed.

Uhh, I haven't been following this and the speakers on the computer don't work anyway. (Ohh, you have to switch them on. Is that thing a speaker? My wife is a genius. I can't be bothered.)
Did you ever listen to the Zappa version of Stairway to Heaven? It probably does it justice.
The LZ concert in Brisbane in 73 or whenever was strange. Everyone high as kites, a girl in a foetal position at the door going in, Immigrant Song is first, it seemed so violent, and later Page walks off the stage because the audience wasn't respectful enough, RP told us.
