I was listening to a show featuring Ry Cooder and he was saying that his favourite band ever anywhere was a band from (perhaps) the 30s, probably blues in the US, and it had a name not unlike 'Flats and Straps'. Two short words. Any ideas?

Fantastic Phil.
At the end of that program there was a version of Vigilante Man that was more electric (slide?) than this (I don't know who was playing) and somehow heavier. But I like the pics with this so anyway.....

Maybe it wasn't? It was in San Fransisco. Maybe this? There were some lovely snaggly bits.
