Sleep lab. Potential nose surgery

Posted by Lamdage22 on June 17, 2014, at 14:19:55

So,

im getting my blood oxygen checked out over night. (Sleeplab)

The hypothesis is that because of the issues with my nose: Polyps, enlarged nasel concha and nasal septum issues:

May be causing me to not get the oxygen at night that i need and thus im depressed, tired and can't wake up in the morning.

My husband had day surgery to address his issues with nasal polyps and his septum, which wasn't functioning well on one side.
His quality of sleep improved dramatically (and, bonus, he no longer is plagued with seasonal sinus infections).
I hope your sleep is helped. It's so important in maintaining our mental health - the most important issue, from what I gather - which affects many symptoms.

No, he just couldn't sleep well (apnea) and had a lot of sinus infections. The surgery didn't affect those senses, either.

Lamadge, how are you feeling about the surgery? excited? nervous? both? Though it's not a definite yet, right? I hope you get some answers with the sleep lab results.

Well i am almost hoping that the lab results are that i am deprived of oxygen. That would mean i found part of the reason why i have those symptoms of apathy and so on.
I only wonder what to do with my allergies. I have dust mite allergy so maybe i should take my allergy sheets with me and pop a cetrizine so the result is not altered by the allergies.

Another huge thing is keeping myself busy. Its hard but it is extremely important. I am in rehab.. i have my own room.
