I get all worked up over emails from or about my ex, because he keeps trying to make this personal and he was not that way. It causes me distress. He was so disparate during our marriage, this is torture.
So I am hiding, in many ways. Holidays are awful...but my uncle just ageed to having us cook at his place, convenient and easy. I have just one dish to produce to secure his happiness!!
I am very happy, really.

hey, good to hear from ya!!
glad to hear you have a christmas solution that lifts some of the stress.
can you open a new email account.... then create a filter on your current one such that any key words... result in all emails about that being diverted to the new account?
i personally would find that helpful with respect to compartmentalising things. then i could prepare myself before making the decision to check that account.
it might help. possibly.
anyway... glad to hear from ya.

Putting in an email filter would do it. I don't know why I don't use those already. Thank you!!
When he calls on the phone I just don't answer.
I just have better days and not so stellar days. Like anyone else. I am comfortable, I am enjoying having a roommate (cooking is fun again) and my cat is fluffy, warm and purring. I don't beat myself up for crying.
This is the end of the thread.
