What could i do instead of day care facility?

Posted by Lamdage22 on June 11, 2015, at 5:59:04

As i have many appointments in the afternoon and until 2PM im always in day care.

As a result i dont have enough time for my hobbies.

Daily structure. I could go to the gym every day at the same time.

Your 2 cents please.

I do think that going to the gym every day at the same time would be a good idea to create some structure. Another option might be volunteer work. Volunteering might give you the opportunity to choose an area of work that you might find gives you a sense of meaning and purpose, and I also think that volunteering is likely to be less stressful than competitive employment. And if you end up following a schedule with a volunteer position, that should definitely create some structure in your life. What would your thoughts be on doing some volunteer work?

I'm glad that you liked what I had to say, Scott. I do think that volunteer work can be beneficial, both for those doing the work and for those who are directly helped by the work. So, yes, it can be a good thing to keep in mind (for Lamdage, for you, for me, or for anyone else).

But shouldnt i first have a job before i quit daycare?

I have cut it down to 3 days a week daycare.

More is not possible. All i want to do is play golf and hit the gym twice a week to be honest.

But thats not possible in the winter.

Lamdage,

Perhaps your current plan of cutting down the daycare to three days a week and playing golf and/or hitting the gym on the other days might be for the best, at least for now. I'd probably keep an eye open for opportunities to do something different, especially in the winter when playing golf won't be an option, but I think that your current plan might be a good one for you at the moment.

So i dont get around disclosing past (and current) but mostly past mental problems on the golf course.

I hope people are chill and not mean...

I want to play in the team again some time.
