Webs can be both traps and homes.
They are all the shelter a spider owns.
And the only claws a spider needs
Are filaments of sticky beads.And, like the spiders, people also spin
Webs from somewhere deep within.
Not made of silk spanning leaves and sticks,
But strands of our relationships.And from what I've seen of dissimulation,
These webs can snare with their deception;
Yet, what makes any place a home
If not the love that's woven on?And as for ownership, we own
Nothing but love alone,
For if loved ones wait in Heaven, it's true
That love is all our souls own, too.
