I always feel batter after cleaning my apartment and straightening up. It's like eating a healthy meal or going to the gym. I feel righteous.

Absolutely yes! I'm a lazy slob who enjoys clutter, but when I just do a few dishes or tidy one corner, I feel a whole lot better.
I find it easier to do other people's chores than my own -- I live in a rooming house and it's easier to do a whack of other people's dishes than my own! Anyone else experience this?

For me its the opposite. I get mad at them for leaving the mess.

I get mad sometimes too, but I've (mostly) learned that anger/resentment only hurt myself, so I try to transform the anger into action. I'm no saint, but it works some of the time! When my mother was upset, she would clean & tidy the kitchen cupboards.
Now if I could only do something about my computer room....
