i'm not good enough for an entry level job filling petie dishes etc etc menial labor in a pathology lab. night shift. from 12pm to 6am.
with a master of arts... and a good selection of undergraduate science (including pathology including laboratory science course) courses.
i'm not good enough for an entry level job putting the surgical equipment into the autoclave for steralisation. part time. entry level job.
they will tell me 'no' (no interview. outright no). then readvertise the job the very next day.
over and over.
no.
why?
becuase they make money from parking.
and i said i lived locally which made the job convenient. which means they aren't claiming back my wages for parking.
heard of 'train your workforce'
heard of 'inspire loyalty'
heard of the garbage hole of a country who think stkhat more people from afghanastan will choose come come here than we will pick okut...
and who is not speaking at all of honoring its duty or debt to citizens to get them out if they want to come home.
we think we can con the best of the afghanies to come here and work teh jobs we refuse to train locals for.
to force them to live with 2 hour commutes...
to commute on our public transport. or pay it to wilson parking.

So i didn't quite realise that 20 years ago Trump announced that 20 years later the US troops would be withdrawn from Afghanistan.
That is to say... There has been fair warning. Time for planning. Time for people to have planned their getting out.
Apparently a 'family' of 16 just arrived. A few of them had visas and booked places in quarantine that were subsequently cancelled because NZ has been cancelling legitimate bookings.
But the US / Australian troops let them onto the plane to NZ and here they are.
The pilots or whatever chose to fly the plane with unauthorised people from Afghanastan on board...

So the quarantine breach in Auckland has something to do with a particular hotel where they arranged for an exercise yard to be bordering on an indoor public area... So members of the public are unknowingly walking very close to a quarantine facility. Members of the public are also in a shared lobby space when arrivals have just arrived.
You know... When they have got off their long flight... Haven't brushed their teeth... Have got the same old same old face mask on... They get off the bus from the airport...
They are likely crackign the sides of the mask for relativey fresh air. I would imagine. I would imagine that's the brief opportunity they have for fresh air. Thanks very much.

Apparently we didn't have fit for purpose quarantine facilities.
We couldn't get staff to staff the facilities if we put them out in the country.
We weren't able to train a military to staff a quarantine facility if we put them (the quarantine facility) out by a military camp, even...
For the military chefs... And cleaners... And so on... They couldn't run a quarantine facility.
It's not about the money. They are going to pay someone more than $100,000 per year to move to Wellington and take up a job where they troll the internet for Covid Misinformation and, I don't know... Feed the trolls the NZ government party line while having small group meeting after small group meeting after small group meeting about the freely smoking freely strategy for combatting Covid Misinformation that involves feeding the trolls all day...
That's a good choosing. I wonder how much they pay the person who thought that was a good job for the government to be offering?

Someone to fit right on in with the small group, hand-picked again. Maybe their kid? Maybe their kids summer internship? You know how it is... Some kids work in supermarkets giving nasal swabs. Teh real.. Brains of them all... Need to move to Wellington to trawl the internet and feed the trolls.

Yeah right.
I don't think NZL has radiology anymore. They got sick of waiting for the DHB's to software update their MRI machines.
NZL DHB's refused to invest in the equipment that would allow them to do their job. You know, in the developed world.
So now we have various... Physiotherapists. Giving people ultrasounds.
That's the state of our radiology.

I got a radiology report from Australia...
I don't think I've had one from NZL.
I did get an MRI scan via ACC.. But (to the best of my knowledge) it was never accompanied by a radiology report.
I was curious because I thought the imaging might have showed whether the hardware (a screw) was cracked BEFORE the surgeon tried to remove it. Whether that was something that a radiologist could have described in a radiology report. If they knew the scan was done for the purposes of assessing hardware removal pre-op.
But a radiology report was never written. And it wasn't something the surgeon mentioned beforehand. He didn't mention any possibility at all about the hardware breaking as he attempted to remove it. Which would lmean that a sharp edge of metal would be forever present inside me.
Which would of, of course, impacted on my decision as to whether or not to let him try and remove it.
Why did he even order the MRI?
How are they even allowed to do them when they aren't accompanied by radiology reports?
What is the utility in that?

I think i read somewhere tha the Royal Australiasian College of Radiologists isn't training radiologists in nZL anymore.
That means there isn't radiology in NZ anymore.
Because part of your job is training the next generation. But we don't have lisenced trained people working here. They cannot function in NZL.
They got sick of writing up all the f*ck*ng things the DHB's refused to do such that they couldn't do their job. They couldn't do their job. They couldn't do their job.
So they left. To do their job.
I mean.. How many f*ck*ng times do ya gotta say???

My niece, actually... Did a.. I think they are calling it a Degree...
I think she did do a Degree... A Degree programme.Medical Imaging.
So she was trained to position people for the scanners. X-ray primarily. I do believe.
And she's it. I mean to say... Upskilling her... Is NZL's way of passing itself off as having radiologists. I think..
She's doing some... Pay the University money and eventually you will be paid more money for workign the MRI's... She's doing that this year.
I don't know whwether she's done ultrasound...
They had some physiotherapist teaching that at Otago...
She (my niece) was also doing angio imaging... Because I remember her saying about how she was on call... But she would only be called if xxx consultant was called in. But he would never take the call... Because he had young family at home.. So she didn't need to worry about needing to be in in 20 minutes because she knew he wouldn't be in in 20 minutes so...
That's for... Blood clots. I think. ANgio guided imaging surgeries.
Seems legit. Right?

But we want for things to be better - right?

Or do our leaders just want to take as much money out of NZL and buy themselves everything they need from overseas??

Because they aren't interested in anything being better.

The pathologists will be all like...
It's hard to read the slides properly when people don't do x and y in their collection and when z isn't done during preparation and when h and j and k happens with their storage..
And listening to that... And seeing what can be done.. Will contribute to making things better -- right?
But nonononoonononononononoon we aren't interested in developing.
We aren't interested in training a workforce. Child exploitation only. Then pop out a child and then child exploitation only...
The how low can we go for how long can we prevent and prohibit development plan.

I suppose she's established herself as someone who keeps her head down. Her mouth shut. Which is the primary objective in the take what you can for as long sa you can situation that is NZL...

Other neice... Nurse on the general ward. They were trainig her to do ICU nursing.
They were reluctant to train her.. To train anyone. Because it's more pay. Teh prospect of more pay. Once she'd trained that means she can put her name down for overtime or whatever... She's perceived as a threat to them.
The ideal of having a rare and valuable skill... Has led to people in NZL trying to limit everything to a small inbred group who kepe themselves small at all costs... If it was about protecting the... Quality. Or whatever. Sure. I get it. But it seems to be about p rotecting the... Degenerates. More than anything else.
Preventing and prohibiting quality from ever developing at all.

My niece if very pretty. Very very pretty. I imagine that has quite a lot to do with why she gets to do the angio directed surgery assistance in teh private hospitals.
It is also likely why she got shifts to work with particular consultants... Etc. Or whatever.
My sis was saying that she has been bullied, horribly, at various points. Really very horribly bullied at various points.
The University never paid her the scholarship they were supposed to (discovered later on her studnet loan that the amount never was deducted from her fees and she tried to sort it out but it never was sorted).
The government is not payign out the scholarships that it promises (at least some) students. To train in certain fields. In the public Universiteis.
She said there was a kerfuffle about her completion / graduation, too. That there was something abou that... That things dragged out.. Things dragged longer.. It took longer than expected for her qualification to come through.
Something about signing off on the last skill that she needed. Something about needing something to be signed off with kids. That she didn't like working with kids in the scanners. She was having trouble with that...
About how teh people she needed to work with, then, in her entry level job, they were horrible to her. Bullying etc.
About how she didn't try and get a job in teh private sector for quite some time because her friend left the public for a private job and then was bullied very very horribly by the small few people there wer ein teh private job and since she left the public... They were snobbing her and not getting her any shifts in the public sector anymore...

So someone... Moving stock feed...
There are different routes you could go.
The Harbor Bridge has a tonnage limit on how heavy the trucks are that are allowed over it.
To preserve teh infra-structure. But going around adds a lot of time to the journey...
And you get paid to deliver x tonnage of stock feed from one destination to the other. ANd that's how much you get paid.
And so the logistics.. How many trucks? how many drivers? How many hours of work?
Well... That depends on whether you tell? ask? your drivers to drive unlawfully over the harbor bridge.
Can you turn a reasonable profit both ways?
Or is only one way going to get you a profit?But now you need to pay off the councili or someone -- right?
So they don't target you with fees for being over tonnage on the bridge.
Because they gotta know... They'll be hearing the trucks accelerate up the bridge becuase it is quite steep in parts...

This is how NZL ensures that development doesn't occur.
NO point investing in infrastructure.
Plenty of pretty girls willing to pass themselves off as...
Whatever you want / need.
ANd investment in the future doesn't pay off.
Which is just another way of saying NZL refuses to invest in the future.

All the nursing graduates.... I know... They didn't process their enrolment / completion / they didn't give them their degree. They didn't publically advertise jobs. They refused to hire them for the jobs...
They force them to repeat the year repeat the year repeat the year..

where the select committees have more to do with laws being passed than the parliament.
not that it matters.
not that it matters when the courts refuse to uphold the laws.
