apparently the NZ government is going to send healthcare.
i don't know if there are plans to send our medical students to the Ukrane to do voluntary unpaid internships (while they pay the university) before 'graduation'...
______
apparently the NZ government has decided that the Russians have unlawfully invaded Ukrane and all international efforts at diplomacy have been completely exhausted.
All without so much as an investigation... Without so much as a hearing in the international courts.
It has been decided in the court of popular opinion.
So there we go.
New Zealand will not be contributing lawyers or anything like that towards the prosecution / hearing.
Will not be contributing judges, either, I would imagine.
_____
Maybe we will send some consultants to help with the provision of skilled medical services? No?
How about some engineers?
No?
Are they too busy not signing off on the motorway...
The builders will sign off that there appears to be a road (but then it rains and the road washes away so then they need to rebuild the road and get it signed off all over again)...
Because NZ will not listen to engineers about how things need to be built.
Anymore than they will listen to intelligence.
____
Apparently NZ does have a Ukranian Ambassador who is supposed to be in Auckland.
But right now they are in Canberra and not in New Zealand.
I suppose because the people from Wellington Wells do not listen. There is no point even trying to talk with them.
Nobody home.
The court of popular opinion (chris hipkins and his education contract winning mummy) have already decided.

China stayed out of it.
We could have stayed out of it (along with China) saying that 'innocent until proven guilty' and we don't have independent intelligence to know what is going on.
We could choose to support an investigation. An inquiry. An international hearing as to whether it was lawful or not.
But nonononononono.
We just don't seem to understand the basics of diplomacy. The international cooperation thing.
Doesn't mean being a yes-man. Being a 'me tooo'er when the angry mob starts throwing accusations around...
An independent... Objective... Voice of reason.
Can't do. Won't do. Won't / can't perspective take. Can't / won't incorporate new information (nonononononono we made up our minds on the basis of limited partial evidence or even on the basis of misinformation) and now our mind is made up.
Irrevokably.
Will take generations generations generations
