HI,
I've been smoking about 1/2 pack a day for 7 years. Lately I've been coughing up some phlegm during the day and sometimes wheezing. Does anyone else get this? Is it just smoker's cough or something more serious. Worried.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave,
I smoked more than that when I smoked for about seven years. I was at two packs a day for most of it.
I quit because of the symptoms you mention. My breathing got considerably better over the year after I quit. That was the only way my breathing improved. Cigarettes are a nasty way to go. I've been there. I know they aren't good for me. I've been a non-smoker for ten years now.
Good luck,
