I am having a hard time finding a pdoc in Houston, TX actually have always had a hard time finding a dr I am comfortable with. Now is imperative and I was wondering if there were any recommendations from you guys?
Oh and my puppy ate 2.5mg of xanax and i am worried!! posion control said she would probably just be drowsy, but have any of you guys ever had this happen??

not a vet but..how much does your dog weigh? probably she'll just be really dosy for awhile..if her respiration or co-ordination seems off, then take her to a vet ASAP, but other than that..i think she'll just sleep it off..as for the pdoc..sorry but i'm in canada..can you go in through emergency? they can sometimes accomplish the impossible (i.e. getting you in to a pdoc right away)...

my puppy was fine, she is a 40lb weimaraner and extremely anxious. so the meds did little for her. i was just irritated because that was the last of my xanax and i dont want to call my dr with an excuse of my puppy ate my xanax, i mean really. im sure shed think i was having drug seeking behavior. i am actually going to visit my gp this week, he is the only dr that has been effective in treating my gad, ocd. i think its because he knows me so well and cares about me. is there anything like 1800 dentist where you can call and find out about pdoc in your area? i just have had such a hard time finding one on my own. i love cananda! i was in alberta a co months ago and loved it so much~ i travel there sometimes as i work for an oil/gas co and theres a lot of bus in calgary alberta. anyway thanks for the response.

hi, again, glad to hear you like Canada...for your pdoc, i would ask your gp to refer. much better than playing hit or miss on your own....
