Venlafaxine (Effexor) and LSD -- The risks

Posted by William Roberts on February 10, 2004, at 17:14:50

I'm currently on Venlafaxine (Effexor) 187.5mg per day. Does anyone know if there is a bad interaction of combining Effexor and LSD (Acid)?

Don't do LSD. It is bad for you. You may never be the same after you trip. Why risk your life for one night?

I would be surprised if there wouldn't. I had my first major depression episode after a trip with mescalin, when I was 18. Now I'm 28 and I'm still struggling with depression. Anyway, effexor with lsd sounds like a very bad combo. Take Care

Whoa! I can't believe you even considering taking acid if you're suffering from a mental disorder. I think the odds are against you having a good trip. I wouldn't mess with any of that illegal stuff even if you're feeling good--when you come down your brain will probably feel like scrambled eggs. Don't do it!
