I just wanna say YAY! to each and every person who is clean/sober today. One day at a time.

I just got up, showered, had my morning yoghurt, coffee, and now I'm sitting here with my AD in my hand. Am I clean and sober up to the point I put that little sucker in my mouth? Or have I already muddied the waters, so to speak, with my coffee?

If your waters are muddy, then I'm neck deep in quicksand.
Morning: 2 cups of coffee, then swich to iced tea. Then take 2 ADs + provigil.
Day: more iced tea.
Night: more iced tea, till about 7 or 8PM, then water. Trazadone at bedtime.
Ativan when needed, but my doc doesn't give them up easily so I hoard them unless *really* needed.Nicotine during all waking moments. Puffing when not at work, chewing nicorette when at work.
But I'm not drinking. Like I say in group 'one addiction at a time.'

Medication to treat a diagnosed illness, even if psychoactive, if used as intended, is not an act of becoming unclean, of using a drug for addictive purposes.
If coffee or cigarettes or whatever are making you life unmanageable, then we might have some mud in the water, IMHO.
