I have taken courses off all these with similar effects (I think) - I can't remember any noticeable differences and I had the same two primary reasons for wanting to get off of each - can anyone guess what these were? Does anyone have experiences with these medications which showed a noticeable difference between them?

Medication-related posts (generally) are best posted on the board called Psycho-Babble. You'll get far more notice over there.

OK, I know was a meds question - so I'll move on to the substance subject. I got off the Zoloft, Effexor and Wellbutrin because I think each of these made me gain weight and caused sexual dysfunction - which didn't help me feel good. I started using GBL recreationally and then regularly at night as a sleep aid and this had the complete opposite effects. Unfortunately (or not) gbl became very difficult to get and also I had two "incidents" landing me in the hospital. I would like to be able to continue using gbl because I like the effects - just not sure if i trust myself not to have another incident

Is GBL the same as GHB?

I am not a medical professional nor am i a biochemist so bear that in mind..... GBL is gamma-butyrolactone; GHB is gamma-hydroxybutyrate. When ingested, GBL is easily converted by the body into GHB. GHB that you may find will likely have been produced from GBL, but might be of varying concentration in water. Most of my experience is with GBL not GHB. Maybe someone with more experience with both can describe differences in apparent effects or dose response for GBL and GHB? I have found them to be very similar - except for the dose amount - a little GBL goes a long way!
