Kids, don't try this at home, Weed+Prozac

Posted by vainamoinen on December 5, 2005, at 11:07:23

Marijuana and Prozac:

I currently take 60 mg Prozac and 30 mg Buspar for depression and anxiety. It is not 100% effective but it's the best combination I've found and I've tried almost everything.

I read some anecdotal reports that smoking weed helps with anxiety and depression so I decided to give it a try.

Now I'd smoked marijuana before but it was before I got on meds. Let me tell you the Prozac really potentiates the marijuana by about 5-10 times. I was as high off one toke as I would have normally been from a whole joint. And when I ate a piece of pot brownie, I got so f*cked up I was dry heaving into the toilet for the night.

Now I suppose your mileage may vary but from my experience, Weed+Prozac = Bad Juju.

I never had a problem with the combo. But I do know that when I haven't smoked in a while, I can get high off one toke. Especially if its good weed. There is definitely a difference in potency among batches. Anyway, just my two cents.

Recently I smoked pot with my meds. And I had a high buzz from just a little weed. I was taking a lot of meds. Celexa, zyprexa, geodon and wellbutrin sr.
