First of all i would like to start by saying i take xanax and klonopin for GAD and Panic Disorder. I was wondering if anyone knew of any online pharmacies that you can send your medical records to to obtain a prescription through them....My doctor prescribes me in ten day increments, which is way tooooo unaffordable for a broke college student like me. any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

But, could you get your doc to prescribe 30 days worth to be dispensed 10 days at a time? You would pay for the whole 30 days, but only be able to collect 10, then 10, then 10.

get him to write the prescription for Walmart or KMart.......90 for $15.00. . (xanax generic) and he can specify how you pick them up........good luck.

I think you can do what Auntiemel suggested with drugstore.com
Call just to be sure, but I sort of remember one of their reps making that suggestion to me.

I'm addicted-sorry 'medically dependant' on benzos-4 years now, Clonaz ~6mgs for two years, then 40mg Valium taper (had 400 5mg tabs once-arrrrr-love Valium) now 3mgs Xanax-the Crack of benzos-would prefer the equavalant of Valium~30, or 60mgs if you go by the .5mgs Xanax=10mgs Valium equivalent.
I'm not concerned about this, i have a chemical imbalence (from puperty on) which was not treated until i was 21, and inadaquately treated, so it's safe to say i'll be on meds for the forseeable future.
My mother has taken blood pressure meds for >30 years, she cannot function/work without them, is she addicted? no, nor am i, despite the fact i take a medication some folks choose to take large doses of to abuse, it does nothing of the sort for me.
I tried non perscriped, Dextroamphetamine at ~20mgs daily and found it more sedating than ANY benzo i'v taken, it made me larthargic and lazy-i spent the day on my bed-with episodes of deep sleep, also have overactive Brain activity (ADHD) which Dex was a total antadote for, 80 years old and still a chosen med.

I am sorry to hear your anxiety scream. I suppose an anti-depressant that has a strong anti-anxiety effect is out of the question. First, Move to a country that pays for meds for those who need it, just a basic human right. Second. Ignore First. But I can tell you as someone who's been on benzos all my life, that illegaly obtaining an addictive drug is a giant step towards a very deadly addiction. Xanax has a depressant side to it. Also you can get a pleasant buzz from it, a quick hit and it wears off in 4 hours suddenly. All my alcoholic friends take it. Klonopin is better because it's primarily an anti-eplileptic and on regular doses 2-4 mgs works well on anxiety. Your doctor is smart to give you 10 days of the drug. I do know what it's like to hunt for a doctor to perscribe a drug you need, I had to do that most of my life until I found a psychiatrist who got it. But getting a drug here and there and not steady will make your mood bounce. Then the cravings will start for more. You don't need that. Eek
