I'm dealing with my young children (3, 4 and 7)? I thought the rule of thumb is that it creates paranoia and then hallucinations.
I'm using it just for this purpose primarily in the evenings while I'm helping everyone get ready for bed. I have no desire to discontinue it because I feel it helps me communicate with them without rage, anger, and irritability. Is it still a bad mix with ADs? I take Zoloft, Lyrica and clonazepam.

I don't think it causes paranoia. I think worrying about people knowing your on it does. Holucinations, never had them, on POT.

my doc has me on Wellbutrin and Dexedrine
then i also smoke weed daily and sometimes take klonopin or xanax.
i havent noticed any problems with interactions or changes in efficacy.
i use weed for the same purpose, to calm down and be more mellow. the only problem is that since ive been smoking daily a couple years it kinda has lost its effect... now i have to skip days or take a couple weeks off every now and then.

It troubles me a great deal that marijuana is illegal. I have tried to rationalize to myself that marijuana is wrong, but I cannot...however *smart* I think I am. The last time I used MJ was a couple of years ago. There was a six month period when I used it regularly, during which time I did not drink alcohol, and it was effective at halting anxiety & reducing ADHD symptoms (or so I believed). It calmed me down. I probably drink too much alcohol nowadays, and it's probably why I'm overweight. I only blame myself of course. I exercise a lot so I'm sore & my back hurts...and I'm not losing weight. No matter how busy I am marijuana somehow creeps into my mind...but again, I'm not using it. Too bad there isn't a treatment for cannabis addiction like there is for heroine & narcotic pain relievers. I think I'm self-medicating w/ alcohol & overly vigorous exercise. Who knows...bottom line is I can't stop thinking about the calm that marijuana brings.
