One of you guys/girls out there said "You can't live a normal life high"...could this be true? Maybe some of us need it to get thru the day...where does that leave us?

It is most important that people maintain a sense of their own moral authority and decency.
That way at least the problems of the first world can be inflicted on the third (spray their countries).
Where does that leave us? Serfdom, IMO. Consume, shop, go to church, watch TV, die.
Thank you for your thoughtful question.

So you're bored? You're quite right to be. Work, shop, why not be bored, watch TV, what else?
The sheer meaningless and pointlessness of existence takes some getting around. Can you think of anything exciting to do?
(I can, and it always involves making sure I'm not in an English speaking country.)In the past people explored.

Well...I'm in no position to go exploring, would love to! But not an option, kids, husband, that sort of thing WILL keep you in one place for a long time.
But even when things were exciting, i don't know, i guess i'm always pushing for more, looking for the better high. Obviously I haven't found it yet..."yet"...sometimes i can't believe i'm still looking.

We live in the 21st century. If by exploring we mean travel, you need the time & $$$.

This is the problem

Not necessarily travel, but exploring.
But yes, that's the way it is these days, as you say.

If you run/jog far enough or long enough or hard enough, whatever, you will in fact get high for a few hours after you stop. Not some b***s**t "gosh you will feel so much better", I mean a real concrete high, like you took a hit of some decent recreational drug.
I had a weird experience once when I was stopping smoking. I was running at the time and I got addicted to it, and I do mean 'addicted' in the narrow clinical sense of the word! I would sit around all day, fixated and obsessed with getting out to run just because I craved that endorphin/serotonin relief. And I would push my mileage and ignore physical pain to get a bigger dose. My big toenail turned black and started to fall off. (I started smoking again, so I don't know if I would have just sacrificed the toenail or not. Probably. )
This isn't really normal, but it is socially acceptable and probably overall healthy.

Weird...lol...I guess I should give this a try, but I do love my toenails :)
