Guys, I'm not liking this. I have tried to detox from Suboxone 3x--all a success, I started back on almost 2mg in the am about 2 weeks ago (by that, I mean I do not let it all dissolve under my tongue--reason being, I don't think my body is not tolerating it anymore)I feel sick---the med literally makes me sick when it did not do this the whole year I was on it! On top of that, my psychiatrist gives me Valium on Friday and all weekend I have been ill--made me worse, headache, felt like I was going to pass out, almost did-and very decreased shallow breathing, like NOTHING I have ever experienced on ANY medication. I have been proactive and done tons of research on Suboxone and I see that deaths HAVE occured while taking benzos with it. I am really scared and quite angry that doctors do not see this is killing people. I'm also upset because a second cousin died today. Cause: prescription drug mix--NOT purposely.
Why is this happening???? :(
I am sad. I am overwhelmed, where and what is the answer to get away from this world of pharmaceuticals--I think it does more harm than good, and I am going back to church this week, I surrender, I cannot do it anymore. My stress level is to the hilt.

In reply to Suboxone + Valium = Death! I do believe it, posted by AnxiousAnnie on April 13, 2008, at 22:57:02
Buprenorphine is kinda famous for causing asthma or something like it.
One poster here reported just what you mention too.
It might not be the respiratory depressant effect.
It might be something peculiar to bupe.

Oh WOW!!! Could relate to that post--Bupe also was the only 'antidepressant' that helped me as well, that's why I was so happy and pain free as well....interesting. I ended up in the ER yesterday with a kidney stone, and was given Dilautid, so I can't go back on the bupe for a few days, but I've also been on it for a while....maybe too long, it's nice to know that it does work for depression in people who have run the road with antidepressants! Simply Amazing!

(Don't you think the names are interesting?
Names like Stellazine, as against Dilaudid?)Did you have the same symptoms as Pseudoname?
It sounded like it.
He was talking about respiratory depression too, but in my experience that only occurs close to (and after!) unconciousness.
This is the end of the thread.
