Hey,
I'm trying to find a doctor for Suboxone treatment. Unfortunately, they say insurance does not cover the appointments, so I will have to pay $400 for the first appointment, then $100 every month. Is this typical?

Eh. I've heard of worse. Some docs want to see you WEEKLY for $100. Imagine that bill. Scoundrels. Is the medication covered by your insurance?
Have you tried telling them that you can't afford that payment, and telling that what you CAN afford? Maybe they will work with you?
Even decent docs charge a pretty high fee for this service to offset the pile of paperwork they have to do, and to help with their suboxone Medicaid pts - since they get paid peanuts for them.
Good luck. Hope you do well.
Bay
