Prozac + Zyprexa - does it really get better?

Posted by rod on September 26, 2001, at 9:41:37

I am taking it for 3 month now, and things really changed, but I do not feel good at all. I might say that things got worse than they were before. So I want to hear from your experience with it.
Especially > >JohnL< < who as far I can remeber is (or was) a great fan of it, please tell me If you still like it. (or anyone else out there)

bye

Hi,

I am also a "great fan" of Zyprexa (however, I have no experience with Prozac).

For me, the only noticeable side effect from Zyprexa was very increased appetite. I fought late night munchies like crazy and managed not to gain weight. Thankfully, that effect wore off (it took many weeks), my appetite is back to *normal* and Zyprexa (+ Klonopin) helps me sleep like a baby again!

Did Prozac by itself help you at least a little? My personal experience with augmenting has been that if the main AD wasn't working for you at all then augmenting wouldn't help. Some people have bad reactions to Prozac and that may be part of your problem. I would reccommend that you find an AD that helps you feel better and then if you're still looking for more help try augmenting with low dose Zyprexa.

Are the Zyprexa (+klonapin)in ADDITION to a primary AD?
