Wellbutrin and Fatigue

Posted by BLPBart on January 27, 2002, at 22:57:56

I keep reading about how WB causes insomnia and agitation. Is there anyone out there who is still fatigued and unmotivated on wb. I was a very active person taking prozac and wb until nov. when suddenly I seemed to poop out. I've completely stopped exercising and have a need to sleep at night 10-12 hours. I stopped the prozac but don't really feel any better. Anyone have any suggestions? My dr and I are discussing adding T3 to see if it gives me any more energy.

There are other choices for energy, such as Effexor XR (venlafaxine) or the little-known tricyclic Vivactil (protriptyline).

I've heard from others about the use of over-the-counter Ephedra but I don't know much about it.

My pdoc and I have discussed effexor too but I have to admit that after having had weight gain and fatigue on prozac that I'm scared I'll have the same reaction. I also have to admit that a lot of the discussions on this board have scared me off of it. I've never heard anyone mention vivactyl before.
