Posted by noelle on August 22, 2002, at 15:02:13

Has anyone been on Neurontin and wellbutrin. I was doing fine on Neurontin a little fatigue but emotionally great. My doctor put me Wellbutrin because I was having focusing problems and fatigue but the first day I took it I felt horrible tired, weak dizzy, merose. I stopped taking it but I feel like I am permintely ruined, I still feel that way. I'm worried

Hey! That's my cocktail, make your own! =)

I'm on Wellbutrin and Neurontin for anxiety/ADD. I just got Wellbutrin a week ago, and so far no effect- I'm on 300mg/day, which isn't too light... I'm not optimistic in any drug that inhibits stuff anymore.

LOL- I remember seeing all those Paxil ads, and finally going to the doctor and say, "I want to get my anxiety killed" and he was ready to dismiss me out without any drugs, and then he goes, "well, as long as you have friends and it isn't affecting your life too much" (!!)

Then I told him I didn't have any friends, and I was a perfect candidate for early onset alcoholism (getting addicted before 25) due to my social isolation.

Neurontin was something I got after Celexa didn't do anything at all for 6 months. It's very soothing, and I suggest you tamper with the dose to find what's right for you- I try around 1200/day.

Wellbutrin has given me terrible dry mouth, as Neurontin has as well. Dry throat comes on immediately when I put my head down to sleep, it's weird.

I take salagen, and it was working fine on fighting ritalin's dry mouth, but adderall made me try popping salagens every hour without success.

I'm not on Wellbutrin and Neurontin but I take Zoloft and Neurontin. I'm still in the increasing dosage stage but it has made a difference. I have more energy and interest in things than I did before. I do notice that when I increase the dosage, I have a day or two of extreme drowsiness and feel weepy but it then goes away. Hope this helps.

Thats interesting that you say you don't like anything that "inhibits" anymore, I think thats why I like Neurontin, I felt tired at first but I didn't feel like my body was fighting with the medication like when I was on Wellbutrin.
thanks for the input

I'm up to 900 mg 3X a day and I have to say I have'nt felt this good in a long time. I have found myself humming and being playful. I was able to go on a short vacation and really enjoy myself. One month ago I didn't even want to get out of bed. I would lie there for hours, eating any and all carbohydrates I could find in the house. With the last increase, I didn't feel any of the tiredness or fuzzy head that I did before. For me, it just gets better and better.
