Has anyone else had trouble getting their Nardil perscriptions filled? My pharmacist (and I have called all around my area to other drug stores as well) says that the manufacturer is out and will not give a release date for Nardil. I am new to the group so forgive me if this has already been discussed. I tried to search the answer but didn't come up with anything. Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure if i fully understood what you're talking about, anyway: Nardil is still being manufactured and can be purchased on line; just do your own search with google: "Phenelzine on line" and you'll find on line pharmacies that sells it.Good luck

I was taking Nardil up until four weeks ago, and had my last prescription filled six weeks ago... they always had to order it for me. Apparently no one else in the city took the stuff-- one pharmacist actually commented, "Wow, haven't seen a 'script for this in five years." But anyway, unless something happened since early November, I highly doubt the manufacturer's "out". Just go to another pharmacy and have them order it.

Thanks for you input. My doctor had to call Parke-Davis the manufacturer after multiple pharmacists said they had called and their suppliers and Parke-Davis and said they were out and they were all told that it was not known when more would be available. Parke-Davis said that they are basically out of the medicine and don't know when they will make more. My dr. came away with the concern that they may not make more. I don't know of the details - I meet with my dr. today, but if you take it - I might start looking into it. I also went on another chat site where folks had had the same problem I did.
I had not been on the drug that long and was having severe side effects so - my dr. moved me on to parnate, another MAOI, but then I started blacking out. So anyway - here we go again. Like many of you especially those on MAOIs I feel like I am running out of options. When I meet with my dr. today I will get more details about Nardil availability to pass on, but I do think there is cause for concern especially if you don't have enough to cover the next month or so.

Wow, I wasn't aware this was happening... I'm definitely glad I stopped taking the Nardil when I did.
