Hey Maxine :-)

I see, it looks like you definately need some kind of anti-depressant on board then.

If prozac works then at least that offers some hope for the future...I know this may be regarded as alternative so Bob may redirect...but, how omega 3's, st johns wort or even ginseng?...they could always add some boost to the medications you're taking and in general are side effect free...I remember reading that ginseng is a weak MAOI...every little helps..added boost of libido too ; )

You're most welcome for my suggestions :-) I hate to see the pain people go through on here and feel with any offers of advice or any of the little knowledge I have, I hope I can be of some help...Thank you ever so much for the praise, its very much appreciated...lol & yes i'm single ;-)

Don't feel sorry for expressing you're problems as Ed said its an illness, not your fault - problems are there to be sovled!

Warm regards

Nick

Thank you for the hugs, but I don't deserve them.

I will post to help other people, but I won't post about my woes because they from what I am doing to my body.

I need therapy very badly and have been waiting and waiting to see a therapist on a slidding fee scale. I've been waiting for over a year!

Hugs my friend!

No the effects I am feeling are from the Parnate. It's a different kind of headache than one would get from hunger. Beside I don't hunger cues anymore.

Re: Parnate Problems...could be thyroid?

Hi Maxime,
You know, this could be a sign of your thyroid being out of whack. When I get hyperthyroid (when I am on too much thyroid meds), I start to sweat profusely with heat and the slightest exertion. I also get a headache in the forehead area.

Can you get your TSH checked?

gg

Hi GG -

It was okay just 2 months ago. But I am seeing another endo on the 15th so I am sure she will test it.

But Parnate is known for making you sweat and the feel the heat more. And I remember this headache from when I tried to take over 100 mg of Parnate. I was still trying to find the right dosage then.

But you could be right and I will know another week or so. Maybe I have gone hyperthyroid as well. Who knows?

I'm a mess.

Maxime

I couldn't take the headache etc. any longer and had to take some thorazine. Damn. My system needs to be clean of that stuff for 4 months to have my prolactin levels checked.

Loser. Would someone please just take me out into a field and shoot me.

Hi.
The thorazine calmed everything down in 15 minutes and I only took about 12 mg. The headache, the pounding heart ... all gone. And then an hour later I had to go bed because I was so tired from it.

It was my encrinologist who told me that about the prolactin levels and the blood test.

A walk in the English countryside sounds nice ...

Hi Maxi!

That's GREAT! It sounds like you had a hypertensive reaction. Will you get a BP monitor?? It could be useful in the future.

I don't have money to buy one right now. But I know the signs so I will just take some thorazine. I hope it doesn't happen again. I had split my dose that day and taken 40 mg without food.

We shall see how it goes. I just wish it didn't make me sweat so much. But it's a common side effect. Oh the price we pay.
