stimulant withdrawl - i am developing panic disord

Posted by rjlockhart98 on July 8, 2005, at 0:09:46

This is hte current medication i am on:

Clonazepam : 4 mg (1mg X 4) OR (2mg X 2) (on panic days)

Temazepam 30mg - nightly

I have been having very bad anxiety, my system is trying to readapt to normal but as i said i was on Adderall 40mg for 8 years, well i started September 1997.

My doctor a while back discussed Lorazepam (Ativan) for this anxiety. I was on 3mg daily then moved to 6mg, (2mg X 3) daily. THis did not ease mental anxiety, more phyical tension. I cant describe it.

When im off it now, i look around and feel i am going to lose it. There is something wrong! I feel my perception is changing. and then i panic beyond.

What should i do.

I feel my body is trying to recreate the stimulant effect it had with for years with anxiety, adrenaline, but this makes life VERY unpleasant.

Having a feeling your ready for anything and that sharp feeling the abdomin. feels like pure electricity.

My adrenal glands have grown oversized.

I dont know what therapy is going to help this, i am a nervous breakdown ready to happen. I dont know what i am going to do next...

Lord, i wish i was an inpatient at a mental ward.

I worry about going crazy alot..

My imagination goes wild sometimes, and i think i losing it.

If you find the symbyax helpful at all, you might decide to get the two drugs prescribed separately.
There are a few advantages to this.

Yes, then you could take more or less of each of the meds separately. Fondly, Phillipa
