No thanks, I'll stay with Parnate (+ Lamictal, Klonopin, and Androgel)

Yeah this maybe the answer for some people....but i believe that different depressions are probably caused by different factors and sure for many people inhibited MAO-A may be the main aggravating factor!!!

surely we're not discounting the glutamate/NMDA hypothesis already.its only bin a few months since the ketamine study!!!!!!!1

Sorry to interrupt, but I'd like to redirect follow-ups regarding curry spice to Psycho-Babble Alternative. Here's a link:

Thats why I don't like the words "key" to depression found since it implies that this is the answer to all depression.

MAOs are proteins which job is to 'recycle' the monoamine like serotonin, DA, NE .. I propose that the 'production' of those proteins in depressed human is less active compared with 'normal' human because there's no need for the same level .. because there's much less monoamines to 'recycle' in depressed human... what about that theory ? :P

I like that theory...put that together with the inaccuracy of measuring neurotransmitters and you end up with knowing about as much about what's going on as you did before you did the experiments....:>}
