Anyone experience intense rage and irritability on lamictal? I only took it two weeks and said the heck with this but I still have the intense irritability.
When will it subside???

I also took it for two weeks so your dose was what 50mg? I did throw a plastic bottle on a store wall as got mad. I stopped from such excessive mucous in mouth all I did was spit. Gross. No irritability unless anxiety is? Phillipa

I've never had problems with rage with Lamictal...if anything getting a BP diagnosis and adding Lamictal + Trileptal to my cocktail saved my life...the only side effects i had were dry mouth and a very foggy almost hallucination like feeling for about 2 minutes when i woke up in the morning...but i initiated Lamictal and Trileptal at the same time so who knows what was from what...
The side effects went away in about 2 months...i might give that drug another chance if you don't get the rash or the stutter which are usually the two deal breakers with Lamictal...perhaps the rage/irritability will subside...are you doing any talk therapy???
I would love to hear more stories of anyone's journey with Lamictal...As i said above that drug was probably the biggest step forward in my recovery...

rage control was a real issue with me but i stayed with Lamictal hoping to get to a dose that would work
