I am very interested in intranasal ketamine has anyone tried this. Pdoc is on board and is checking to see if he can subscribe it or if it is even availible in my area. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cadett,

I personally have not tried ketamine in any form, so I'm afraid that I don't have much to contribute in the way of feedback, but I wish you luck both with getting feedback and with the ketamine itself (if you try it).

Hi. I am trying intranasal ketamine. I believe it is helping. However, things have been up and down. I believe this is in part because there is not a lot of clinical experience with using it for depression. Consequently, my doctor and I are kind of feeling our way with dosage and timing. At this point, I am optimistic, though.

Emme - How did it come about that you were able to try intra nasal ketamine ? Did you suggest to your doctor or vice versa ? Do you know for what reason there is intra nasal ketamine ? Is it Johnson and Johnson product ?

I would like to try it. Thank you.

And can you detial dosage? Did you just "snort" it, or did you put it in a pump along with saline or something. Detials please!

I tried intranasal ketamine. It was very, very effective and I felt better almost immediately. Unfortunately the effect was short lived, about a day.

It's ketamine powder dissolved in some kind of liquid, probably saline. You squirt it up your nose with a pump spray bottle. Like Neosynephrine.

Also, it's intoxicating and I found myself abusing it. I've tried a lot of recreational drugs and this one was by far the most compelling. If you have substance abuse issues it's something to be careful with.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with ketamine. I will note your cautions regarding abuse potential.

Chumbuwunga -

Thank you for your message. In what context did you have the opportunity to try the intra nasal ketamine ? I see there is a doctor who prescribes it in San Diego. I am curious who carries the intranasal that she prescribes from ie is there a Walgreens etc she sends her patients to ? That is a bit rhetorical.
