The xanax and klonopin combination is not good. These are both sedatives and brain depressants and a combination can lead to depression, memory loss, fatigue and other "zombie"-like features. If she's abusing these two and taking more than she should, withdrawal can be very dangerous with tremors, anxiety and possible seizures and death. If she's in a cycle of abusing the pills, then going into withdrawal and getting more anxious and then going to the doctor to request more and more pills for anxiety, she's really putting herself in danger. If you know who her doctor is, you might want to talk with him/her about your knowledge of her pill use. Due to confidentiality, the doctor may not be able to tell you much unless your girlfriend has signed a release of information, but the doctor can listen to what you have to say without breaking confidentiality. If you are committed to this relationship, I would recommend AlAnon or NarcAnon for you to help you learn to take care of yourself, help you put the responsibility of your girlfriend's recovery where it belongs (with her) and help you cope with the changes that will occur if she does decide to face the truth. Good luck.
