Do you lose weight on Luvox? Fluctuations in weight are the most common things that affect sleep apnea (besides things that directly affect the respiratory system like colds and whatnot). Luvox may also affect your depression by helping you sleep more deeply, less restlessly or sleep on your side or something so that you don't quit breathing.
I don't know of any long term effects of the SSRI withdrawal syndrome but do know that it can be very long and drawn out in some people and nonexistant in others. All the SSRI's except prozac can cause it (Prozac doesn't because it stays in the system for many days and only gradually leaves) but some cause it worse than others.
